For our next event, we are looking for 10 bartenders for the Ambassador tent and the SAQ Bistro. The duties and responsibilities related to this position are essential for the preparation and realization of the major event of the International Balloon Festival.

Main Tasks:

  • Take orders from customers and servers;
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages or non-alcoholic beverages to customers;

CASHIER

In order to support us for the next edition of the festival, we are looking for 40 cashiers. Tasks and responsibilities related to this position are essential to the production of the major event that is The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

This position is very important since it is the first contact with festivalgoers.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Charge the entrance or parking fee to visitors;

For our next event, we are looking for 3 distributors. The duties and responsibilities related to this position are essential for the preparation and realization of the major event of the International Balloon Festival.

Under the supervision of the telecommunications supervisor, the distributors will insure that all communications between different departments go well.

Main Tasks:

  • Promotes the transmission of information on the site using tools (radio-communication, computers, telephony, plans, etc.);
    • Receives and analyzes the requests of various stakeholders;
    • Forward requests to appropriate resources according to established procedures;

CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT – ACCREDITATIONS

For our next event, we are looking for a customer service agent – accreditations. The duties and responsibilities related to this position are essential for the preparation and realization of the major event of the International Balloon Festival.

Main tasks :

  • Update the description chart of all tickets and accreditations for the 2019 edition of the festival;
  • Accumulate ticket and accreditation requests from internal customers;
    • Prepare the equipment;
    • Give tickets and accreditations to each department.
  • Update and validate the accreditation database;

Under the management of the human resource team, the agent will be actively involved in the recruitment of the new employees, about 350 employees is necessary for the final event.

Main Tasks:

  • Participate in the hiring process (9 days);
  • Update function descriptions;
  • Explore different avenues for the job descriptions and post them;
  • Hold phone interviews, summon candidates and assists in the preparation of interviews;

PRODUCTION GENERALIST (2)

For our next event we are looking for a production generalist. The duties and responsibilities related to this position are essential for the preparation and realization of the major event of the International Balloon Festival.

As an employee of a non-profit organization working in the tourism sector, the production generalist participates in the realization of all the actions necessary for the development of the site of the event.

Main Tasks:

  • Performs the work according to the projects assigned to the daily;
  • Collaborates and guides his fellow workers for painting, carpentry or transportation tasks;
  • Make sure to meet schedule;
  • Participates in assembly and disassembly according to the predefined plans;
  • Contributes to making the festival-goer’s experience unforgettable and thus to the influence of the festival both at national and international level;

PROJECT MANAGER

Under the responsibility of the animation coordinator, the project manager is responsible for ensuring all stages of the pre-production to the running of the animation component. The project manager must have an overview and control of all projects.

  • Manage timelines and budgets of ongoing projects;
  • Coordinate the programming of certain events with internal and external stakeholders;

Under the management of the marketing and communication team, the graphic designer will help produce visuals of ideas, promotions, and signposting in the field as well as the website and social networks.

Main Tasks:

  • Create, adapt and decline more than 1000 promotions and signposting visuals
    • Ensure that these visuals respect the graphic standards and promotional signature of the event;
  • Responsable of respecting and the follow-ups of the signposting asked by different departments;
  • Work with the sponsorship department to enforce partner visibility commitments;
  • Prepare final documents;

HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION’S AGENT

 

Works in close collaboration with the Human Resources Coordinator, while being responsible for the administrative side of the Human Resources department and actively participating in the workforce recruitment (approximately 300 employees) required for the event.

At the administrative level, the agent must update the documents required to host contract employees, prepare employee files, and enter data into the human resources department databases. He may also have to write various reports and administrative procedures, conduct research related to human resources and make recommendations.

At the staffing level, he participates in the entire staffing process in collaboration with other sectors. In this sense, the main tasks will be to ensure the posting of positions, to call candidates for interviews, to participate in interviews, and finally to carry out pre-employment checks. The agent will also be involved in recruiting volunteers.

During the event, he tracks attendance, absences and hours worked and records them for payroll processing.

Required profile:
