This band, originally from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, is recognized for their festive spirit and overflowing stage energy. Kodiak broke out with concerts in 2004 and the launch of 2 successful singles, Personne and Froide, from their first album Pour y voir clair. With their 2nd album, La Mécanique, Kodiak offers a collection of songs and music from around the world, mixed with folk-rock and reggae.

With 270 shows under their belts, many prizes and awards, including one from the SOBA 2010 Gala for French-language Song of the Year for Réverbères, La Mécanique impresses as much with the lyrics and melodies, as with it being the most mature disc from the band so far.
